Taiah Sanders

One of my recent commissioned work, is this shoot with Taiah.

Taiah has a wonderful personality and contacted me about getting some new portrats of her done. Naturally I jumped at the chance.

I’ve recently moved into a new studio space. With this space, it allowed me to be able to light from above and from the side.

We decided to style the shoot in a way where it hits more of a fine art portrait but showing her own form of femininity.

As stated above I was able to light her from above and the side. I had a 60” Octa Box on a C-stand boom about two feet above her head, while a 30” Octa Box was directly to her right at a 45 angle down, butting up agasit the 60” above. I feathered the 30” to allow such a narrow spill that the light came through at its softest across her.

In a couple of images, I added a 650w contiuous light behind the paper pointed down for a hair light, which is where the Orange coloring comes in. I liked just the little added pop of light.

The Light above set at its lowest setting and the key about a 1/4. Tethering to CaptureOne Pro and color grading through it, this over gave the exact look and feel that was needed.
